Tender green beans cooked with garlic and toasted almonds for a crunchy, flavorful side.

# What you'll need:

→ Vegetables

01 - 1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed

→ Aromatics

02 - 2 cloves garlic, thinly sliced

→ Nuts

03 - 1/4 cup sliced almonds

→ Oils & Fats

04 - 2 tablespoons olive oil

→ Seasonings

05 - 1/2 teaspoon sea salt, or to taste
06 - 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
07 - 1 teaspoon lemon juice (optional)

# How To Make It:

01 - Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add green beans and blanch for 2 to 3 minutes until bright green and tender. Drain and transfer immediately to a bowl of ice water to halt cooking. Drain well and set aside.
02 - In a large skillet over medium heat, toast sliced almonds, stirring frequently, until golden brown and fragrant, about 2 minutes. Remove almonds from skillet and set aside.
03 - In the same skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant but not browned.
04 - Add drained green beans to skillet. Sauté, stirring often, for 3 to 4 minutes until heated through and slightly crisp-tender.
05 - Season with sea salt, black pepper, and optional lemon juice. Toss thoroughly to combine flavors.
