# What you'll need:

→ Fruit Juices

01 - 1/2 cup passionfruit juice (fresh or bottled)
02 - 3/4 cup orange juice (freshly squeezed preferred)
03 - 1/4 cup pineapple juice

→ Sweetener

04 - 1 tablespoon grenadine syrup

→ Garnish & Extras

05 - Ice cubes, as needed
06 - 2 orange slices, for garnish
07 - 2 fresh mint sprigs (optional)
08 - Passionfruit pulp, to taste (optional)

# How To Make It:

01 - Fill two tall glasses with ice to chill and allow space for layered liquids.
02 - Measure and pour the juices into each glass: add 1/4 cup passionfruit juice, then 3/8 cup orange juice, followed by 2 tablespoons pineapple juice.
03 - Slowly pour 1/2 tablespoon grenadine syrup down the inside edge of each glass so it sinks and produces a rising sunrise gradient.
04 - Top each glass with an orange slice, a mint sprig and a spoonful of passionfruit pulp if using; avoid stirring to preserve the layers.
05 - Serve immediately while layers remain distinct and beverages are cold.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • Your friends will think you planned ahead when the whole secret is just pouring slowly.
  • It’s the closest you’ll get to sipping sunshine without booking a flight.
02 -
  • If you pour grenadine too quickly, it will muddle the colors instead of forming a sunrise—patience pays off.
  • Once, I skipped the ice and the layers bled together in seconds—the drink was still good, but the spectacle was gone.
03 -
  • Always taste your juices separately before mixing—perfectly ripe fruit makes the biggest difference here.
  • A slow pour down a spoon gives you those Instagrammable stripes every time.
