Refreshing floral lemonade bursting with citrus and lavender, finished with a stunning purple hue for warm days.

# What you'll need:

→ Lavender Syrup

01 - 1/2 cup water
02 - 1/2 cup granulated sugar
03 - 1 tablespoon dried culinary lavender buds

→ Lemonade Base

04 - 3/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (approximately 4 to 5 lemons)
05 - 1/4 cup honey or agave syrup, to taste
06 - 2 cups cold water

→ Purple Infusion

07 - 1/2 cup 100% pure grape juice
08 - 1/2 cup butterfly pea flower tea, cooled (optional)

→ Garnish

09 - Lemon slices
10 - Fresh lavender sprigs or mint leaves
11 - Ice cubes

# How To Make It:

01 - Combine water, granulated sugar, and dried lavender buds in a small saucepan. Bring to a gentle simmer, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Remove from heat, cover, and allow to steep for 10 minutes. Strain to remove lavender buds, then let the syrup cool completely.
02 - In a pitcher, add freshly squeezed lemon juice, honey or agave syrup, and cold water. Stir thoroughly to ensure the sweetener is fully dissolved.
03 - Add cooled lavender syrup and grape juice to the lemonade base. Stir well. For a deeper purple color, slowly pour in butterfly pea flower tea and mix gently.
04 - Fill glasses with ice cubes, pour in the refresher, and garnish with lemon slices and fresh lavender sprigs or mint leaves.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • It’s the kind of showstopper that makes people linger at your table, secretly trying to guess what gives it that unique color.
  • I started craving it on hot afternoons because it tastes crisp and calming—never too sweet or boring.
02 -
  • If you leave the lavender buds steeping too long, the syrup becomes bitter—set a timer and treat it like a secret potion.
  • Adding butterfly pea flower tea last lets you control the color; the first time I poured it too fast, all the purple sank to the bottom and didn’t swirl properly.
03 -
  • Always strain your syrup thoroughly, and never skip steeping time for best flavor.
  • For dramatic color, use chilled butterfly pea flower tea and pour it slowly over the lemonade so you catch the transformation in the glass.
